In-short:  a cute boy moves in next door to a sick girl
Moral of the story: Love makes you do crazy things…
Review:

OHHHH MY GOODNESS!!! This book deserves so much more recognition and praise! Everything Everything is NOT like your average book whatsoever. Ranging from such diverse characters to how each page was written and designed- I love every bit of it.

The book is narrated from Madeline Whittier’s perspective. Now let me talk about this girl, the main character, is an Afro-Japenese cutie with curly cinnamon hair and an adorable personality. (And can I just say that I love when a physical character description deters from what society considers the “norm.”) Aside from being a total sweetheart, Madeline is a total #GirlBoss! I love her character development throughout the book, from meeting Olly (the cutie/humorous boy next door) to experiencing more challenging events. She’s the type of girl to do what she wants for her own happiness regardless of the consequences. But enough of Madeline, let me at LEAST write a few tid-bits about Olly. First off, the dude loves parkour. I absolutely adore his interactions with Madeline (via window & green room) and just how he’s so careful with her. However, I can’t get too in-depth with his character since the book only shows Madeline’s thought processes.

Moving on, there are doodles on every other page portraying nurses’ notes, medical records, and sometimes Madeline’s own thoughts. Something that I find absolutely adorable is that the author’s husband actually drew every sketch in the book. (how cute!) Overall, the book is EXTREMELY well-written. I promise you that it is a page turner. I finished the book in two days & it would’ve been finished in one sitting if I hadn’t been preoccupied at the time. Filled with love & loss, Everything Everything is such a wonderful book & I give all of my love to it!

I don’t want to say anything more in fear that I may say too much & spoil something like that major plot twist towards the end of the book. But I would love love LOVE to start a discussion going on about this book. So feel free to leave a comment about your thoughts/opinions on Everything Everything!*

*Be sure to write SPOILER ALERT if you’re going to discuss the book in detail!

Thanks for reading! xx
