I forgot my journal over spring break and I have a lot of scattered thoughts that need to be documented.
But there’s something more to writing rather than typing on a computer.
The raw feeling of pen touching paper.
Anyways, Scattered thoughts:

1. The confetti that fell on your bag during the concert, that’s your little reminder- that there are more concerts out there. More experiences. More hope. Tape it inside of your journal. Hold on to it.

2. You were dealt the shitty parental lottery. Your therapist said this to you once before- it stuck with you. It popped up into your mind because you just read the words “parental lottery” in the novel, All the Bright Places.

3. You have another journal. It’s leather bound. Fresh pages. Gifted to you from your sister during Christmas 2016. Finish the journal you’re writing in now. Then finish this leather-bound one. And keep writing. Keep going.

4. Anger was never an emotion you paired with
Until you got older.
Do not let people stir that emotion.
Stay kind.

5. You’re letting the nasty, negative thoughts consume you. Succumbing to the side that so deeply wants        to end everything. Cut off ties.

The piece of confetti is now tucked in my phone case along with a note from a dear friend. I don’t have much to say about the other short excerpts, besides the fact that that’s how I usually write in my journal. Sporadic thoughts consume each and every individual page of my journals. Every point was also written at different dates and times.

I’ve started journaling over 3 years ago and I’m currently almost finished my second book. It’s important for me to document these thoughts no matter how sporadic they are because it helps me keep track of my mentality. I’ve actually published one journal post on this blog:  http://infatuatedwithsimplicity.com/journal-excerpt-anxiety/

This post was just to make up for not double-posting last week when I said I was going to. I’ve had this puppy drafted because I was kind of hesitant to post it- as it’s a raw journal entry during times when I felt.. not the best. But I’ll be sure to post more journal excerpts if you guys like them- let me know! I don’t mind sharing my thoughts and experiences with you guys. (Obviously, that’s why I started blogging lol)  So, let’s share our experiences and go through this crazy life, together.
